I love these things, and with 2009 coming to a close, I thought some reflecting would be dandy.
1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Have a 'nightlife'. loll. Also had starbucks for the first time in my life as well.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I can't even remember what my new years resolutions were! I don't think I will make more next year though. I'll just take the year as it comes and work with it. =D
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
NO! My sister is planning on popping out a baby next year though, so hopefully this answer will be diff next year. =]
4. Did anyone close to you die?
luckily, no.
5. What countries did you visit?
Australia? =[ I really need to get out of the country.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
Better health. immune system = FAIL.
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
um...first I thought of was 27th October. It was the day I skipped uni with Roger and had one of the nicest days ever. Even being pooed on by a seagull didn't matter. =D
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Overcoming my fear of public speaking. YUS! Now just have my kazillion other irrational fears to conquer. =D
9. What was your biggest failure?
Nothing. I think everything bad that's happened this year has made me more defined as a person. Can't complain about that. =]
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I think I was more sick this year than I was in any other year. I think it was the stress and lack of oranges. lmao.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
a gameboy for the boif. His happiness is infectious.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
um...Santa? He's still making his list and checking it twice. He's a careful cookie, he is.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I think appalled and depressed are a tad too strong. =P
14. Where did most of your money go?
....I think everyone knows the answer to this. eBay. =[
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
All the packages I got in the mail? LOL. Oh, and Roger not being away for the summer holidays. FOR ONCE! lol
16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
Um...we won't run - Sarah Blasko. First I could think of that I loved, and that applied. =P
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? happier!
ii. thinner or fatter? Pretty much the same, thank goodness. =P
iii. richer or poorer? Same same. I would be richer if I hadn't discovered the joys of eBay. loll.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Relaxing. There's always too much stress!

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
With my family. =] My dad wants me to have a go at cooking Christmas din dins. Very brave man.

Already was. =]

Everything reality, Glee, Heroes

I don't think there's anyone I actually hate. I'm a bit more wary of some people though..
25. What was the best book you read?
........Breaking Dawn. Yes, the last book in the Twilight Saga. I know, for shame. =P It wasn't that bad though.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Not too sure about this one actually. hm..
27. What did you want and get?
A bit more confidence. Oh, and a treadmill!!!!
28. What did you want and not get?
Space from people. The downsides of technology I guess. lol
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
Up, District 9, and...Avatar methinks. Those stand out to me atm.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 20, and I had dinner at thai in Newtown and then we went to some funky hotel pub place. Nice and simple. =D
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
no uni? =P
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
All over the place. lmao. What with the leather, lace, and now my fondness for floral.
33. What kept you sane?
Roger. I know, this post is filled with gooeyness. I wonder if these things count as PDAs..
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I don't tend to fancy celebs that much..
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Hm...I think the one I found myself talking most about was climate change.
36. Who did you miss?
Luckily, no one. I've managed to keep in touch and see everyone I care about.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
The pats peeps I think. although technically I met them on nye'08/ny'09. =P But same diff. We've had lots of nice outings and stuff. =]
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009.
The choices we make really dictate what happens in our life. I'm a bit more conscious of the consequences of my actions as a result.
