So it's the new year, and what better way to celebrate than with a new blog? Don't worry, I don't intend on changing my online whereabouts every year, but what better way is there to start fresh than by leaving everything behind. Okay, there's plenty of other ways, but STILL!
Luckily for me, I got to bring in the new year in style. What's better than picnicking waterside with good company and good food? bwahhaha! Um, so I made that sound a lot better than it actually was. We got to the city at midday, lined up in a ginormous line to get into the opera house, dished out 6 bucks for a sausage, and played go fish until there were no more darn fish in the sea. But it was sooo worth it. I got to meet new people, spend time with friends, and see the fireworks live. Ah, you've gotta love the atmosphere. Crazy screaming drunks and topless people everywhere! Boy, is that the life. I kid [sort of], but like I said, it was a good day, a good experience, and I'm damn excited about going again next year!

Now I bet you're wondering if I have any new years resolutions, and in fact, I do! Actually, I tend to have some every year, but I think instead of going the usual 'lose weight' route, I'm going to go for something more feasible, and rewarding at that!
In 2009, I resolve to be more assertive, and generally, take no crap. Oh, and I want to be a bit happier with myself so that I don't have to think about the lies that my scales tell me whenever I pay it a visit. =p
