The New Year

I haven't had an opportunity to blog in the new year as yet, so Happy New Year! I decided not to make any New Years resolutions this year. For one thing, I never remember them and also, I can never be bothered. So, I'm just going to go with the flow and do things when the mood strikes. =D

I've had a pretty pleasant start to the new year, I brought in the new year with the boif, caught up with my friends, and have once again started learning Spanish. I'm doing pretty well too! I have to say, I'm pretty chuffed. =P

I've also never felt more normal in all my life, as strange as that sounds. A lot of people around me are going into overdrive with problems, and...I feel fine. I'm happy with how I cope with things and I'm happy with the way things are in my life. So, yeah. It's been a wonderful start to 2010 for me.

Anywho, yesterday I went out to lunch with Lauren and Siobhan. It was nice to catch up with them. I hadn't seen them in...I don't remember, but it's felt like awhile. loll. We went to have thai food [YAY!] and it was really quite delicious as well. My rice was star shaped for goodness sake, STAR SHAPED! Sorry, but I was pretty excited when I saw it. =P

you can't really see the shape thaaaat well in the photo, but still!

We just ended up chatting about our lives and all the super exciting things going on. Which, for anyone who knows us, is really not that much =P But it was nice catching up anyway. loll. Once we were done eating we decided to walk around and check out some of the random shops and stuff. Lauren ended up finding a bowl for her fighting fish! And we managed to pick up a few awesome things at woolies, like this:

Like seriously. Wii candy dispensers?! YES PLEASE! These just speak to my inner nerd. Actually, my nerd isn't really so 'inner', but you get my drift. =D

Before heading back to Lauren's to watch her transfer her fish to it's new home, we stopped by Gloria Jeans for more chatting and hot chocolate for Lauren. We ended up compiling a list of places to go/things to do for the rest of the holidays. It seems pretty exciting, so hopefully we manage to do everything on there. Besides the scary movie. I DON'T DO SCARY MOVIES! -_-

Wanna see Lauren's fishy? He's absolutely adorable if I do say so myself. Except...you probably wouldn't want to put a living thing in the same bowl as him, because, it might not be alive for long. He's quite the vicious thing. Watching him escape from the bag lauren was trying to get him into was epic enough =P

sexy, no? =P

We did actually take pictures of each other, well...most are of me and Lauren. Vonny isn't as vain =P but...I'll spare you, and leave it to fb to show you our attempts at taking photos of each other. lol.

And...I think that's it. =]

Hope you're having a lovely day!
xx

P.S. I was looking on google to try and figure out what my fear was called, and I'm PREEETYY sure it's demonophobia.

"Demonophobia: An abnormal and persistent fear of evil supernatural beings in persons who believe such beings exist and roam freely to cause harm. Those who suffer from this phobia realize their fear is excessive or irrational. Nevertheless, they become unduly anxious when discussing demons, when venturing alone into woods or a dark house, or when watching films about demonic possession and exorcism."

Explains a lot doesn't it? =P This is why I am NOT watching Paranormal Activity.
