First day back at uni today, and it was just a lecture so nothing much could really go wrong. Thank jebus that there's one girl in my course who actually does the exact same subjects at me, and that I had already sort of known who she was before this year started. Thankfully we also happen to get along very well. YAY.
Also decided that I'm leaving uni after next year instead of after fifth year. This just means I only get a degree for education and not education and arts. But really, I don't care, and I'd rather spend that year earning money rather than racking up more debt.
I am so cheap nowadays it's unbelievable. The last thing I bought for myself from eBay was hollywood tape, and I got the feedback for that on the 1st of feb. Which is one solid month ago. Hrm. I have to admit I'm watching about 20 coats on eBay though. But I'm so cheap I don't think I'll win ANY of them. Seriously. It gets to 20 bucks and I'm like 'nup, too exxy'. I have issues. And I am going to be very cold this winter. loll.
I'm also listening to a lot of Taylor Swift on youtube right now. lol.
Oh, my trip to QLD was wonderful by the way. I almost didn't want to come back. loll
I think I'm in a pretty good place in my life right now. I think I can do okay in uni this semester [fingers crossed!], and I'm happy in all my relationships with people. Although admittedly I'm being a bit of a hermit again. But, you know. I think that's just a part of my personality people have just come to realise is unavoidable in me. lol.
On the show Man v.s. Wild the guy killed a turtle. I actually said 'noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo' out loud when he did that. Yeah. I love turtles that much. I would really fail if I was ever out in the wild. I just can't kill anything. I even cringe a bit when my parents kill flies. I like to think of that as an endearing character trait more than a total human survival FAIL. lmao.
Also went to the optometrist today. Apparently it's been 2 years since I've gone. Oops. lol. Funnily enough, only my right eye has gone up. I'm now - 3.00 in my left eye and -3.50 in my right. Good work left eye! It's funny though...because I've been wearing my super old glasses for ages instead of the ones I was supposed to be wearing. I think that's why they haven't gone up that much. I didn't start depending on the stronger lenses. But in any case, I'm getting my 'new' glasses fitted with the correct index, so once I collect them on friday I'll be wearing those to uni and my good ol' glasses when I'm at home.
My optom was also trying to pimp out this thing called Ortho K to me. Apparently you wear contacts while you sleep then when you wake up you don't need to wear glasses. Interesting, no? I've never worn any form of contacts though, so you know, I'd probably end up with a hardcore eye infection from not taking proper care of it. In any case, I am completely fine with glasses. I look strange without them now. lol.
Anywho, I'm sorry, this post isn't very structured. lol. I'm just writing whatever comes to mind. =D
