I decided to pimp out my blog to inspire me to hop back on the blogging bandwagon.
I haven't been up to too much these days. Just the usual routine of going to uni, sleeping at ridiculously late hours, hardcore gaming on my DS, struggling through my readings, and hopping on the interwebs to not be a complete social hermit. =P
One of my units this semester is pretty interesting though. the reading this week was talking about why we envy people and all that. It says that no matter how much we have, how wealthy we feel will always be dependent on how we compare ourselves to those in our reference group. So, for instance, even though we may not care how rich Paris Hilton is or something, if someone we knew in high school were to become amazingly successful, we'd be envious. They also had a formula for self esteem:
self esteem = success/expectations
So, because we live in a society where we're bombarded with messages saying if we work hard enough we can achieve anything, we've come to expect more, and because rarely anyone would be able to buy or achieve everything they wanted, our self esteem is sucking and we're unhappier. Which is so damn true!
And this is also why I'm going to try and be happy with everything I have.
Which is REALLY going to contradict what I'm about to say now. lmao.
I've been watching this mustard blazer on eBay since...about a month or two ago. [yeah, it's been awhile.] But I'm not sure if I should buy it. It's about 26 bucks including postage. Although I'm probably going to make an offer and see if I can't get it a lot cheaper. It's been sitting there on eBay for awhile so I'm hoping for the best. =D Have a look!
...I just like mustard for some reason. funnily enough though, not the food product. lol

Also, I have a dinner date with Roger tomorrow. YAY. We're usually doing more laid back stuff when we're out and about, so I tend to get a bit over excited when we do something fancy. =P And I always love the opportunity to dress up a bit. =D
Anywho!
I'm off to grab myself a zooper dooper. I am such a kid, but I can't help that they're so darn DELICIOUS!

It's been ages since I've blogged, I've been out and about a lot and blogging about it all just kind of seemed intimidating to someone as lazy as I am. Funny how the more I have to talk about, the less I actually update. Lucky uni is starting soon then. More stress = more updates. Ha.
Actually, speaking of uni, my timetable looks like this:
I don't know if you can read that. But I have 14 contact hours and 2 of my units don't start until week 7. I'm a bit disappointed that it isn't friday that I have off, but Wednesday is better than nothing. =D Just means I get time mid week to work on assignments and all.
Hm....Chinese new year was pretty good by the way. I got $110 all up. Which I'm pretty happy about. 110 less dollars I need to withdraw from my bank when I'm in QLD =P I went to Chinese New Year celebrations in Bankstown and Cabramatta this year. Bankstown one was pretty cool. It was just lots of stalls, and people, and performances. Look!
The Cabra one I went to with Roger. It was a pretty hot day so amazingly enough, it was pretty dead. The stalls didn't really have any of their stuff out, and no one was really hanging around. =[ I would've gone to the CNY stuff at fairfield showground this year, but it's going to be on this weekend while I'm at QLD. =[ Mind you, I do prefer to be at QLD, so I'm not complaining. loll
CNY also fell on the same day as Valentine's day this year. I ended up making Roger cookies. 3 types of it as well!! We had spare M&Ms from some of the cookies, so my mum plonked some on the chocolate cookies. -_- loll. I tried to make a couple of heart shaped ones as well. Also take notice of the super evil face cookie on the left. lmao. [I took these with my phone so that's why it's all oddly coloured. lol, I'm always taking pics with my phone nowadays.. -_-] Once they had cooled down a bit I packed them in this container. The cookies spell out his name! =D A couple of years back I gave him one of those origami star shaped jars with pieces of paper inside with mushy messages and stuff, and this year he gave it back to me with his own messages in there. It was seriously the sweetest thing ever. *gush*
Also, something really strange happened a couple of days ago. My brother in law messaged me and said "I'm at someone's house right now and they say they know you and you go way back and they wanna talk to you. I would call, but my phone is low batt so call this number: [number here]". I thought it was a bit weird so I replied and asked who it was that supposedly knew me. He says "phone low batt, call the number quickly". So..after contemplating whether or not I should call it, I did. And guess who it turned out to be.
Taronga Zoo.
What. The. Fudge. Lucky it was just their machine thing saying their operating hours or else I would've really confused the poor person that picked up the phone. I tried calling my sister to ask what on earth was happening, but she didn't pick up, so I still have no idea what that whole thing was about. =/ loll. Very, very weird.
Hm..
I'm headed off to QLD tomorrow. I haven't packed yet. I need to try and find an appropriate bag to pack all my stuff in. Since it's just carry on baggage that I'm taking, I think I'll just take my biggish black handbag and my sling bag. I just need to check that they fit the measurements and all that jazz. I have my 'Things to Take' list, and anyone who has seen it probably thinks I'm a douche considering some of the things I'm taking along. loll. Like my hair straightener. lol. In any case, the trip is going to be awesomeee, we're visiting movieworld and sea world, and we're also going to head to tropfest [the short film festival], whilst also celebrating Roger's birthday and our 5 year anniversary. =]
I'll be back on the 23rd, so I'll probably put up photos and stuff then!
Btw, I'm on the hunt for good coats and coloured tights. My eBay watch list is packed with them, and as sad as it sounds, I'm probably going to end up bidding on some stuff using my phone while I'm away. LOL. Unless I manage to pick up some stuff on my trip. Hm...
Anywho, time to pack!

I got my boots in the mail today! Much earlier than expected as well. =D They look awesome. And, [you'll like this lauren], they're actually not over the knee. They're knee height. I knew that'd happen. -_- But regardless, I can't complain, because I still love them anyway. Woo! Now I just have to wait for a day that it isn't raining. .........Yeah. Considering the weather lately, that probably won't be for awhile. But oh well. I can wait. =D
Hm...
I have a lot of stuff going on in my life at the moment. I feel so busy, when in reality I'm pretty much just siting here, doing nothing. Ish. I think it's because I'm headed to QLD soon, and I have this other thing I'm working on with Roger, and there's all the friend stress stuff going. So it's all busy in my head. loll. I'm having the occasional sharp pain in my head too. I don't think that's healthy. lol.
Anywho, that's it. I just wanted to make a bit of an update. xx

I'm sort of almost done with my closet clear out.
Ish.
Well, no. I haven't really been organising anything, I've just been scouring my wardrobe and walk-in wardrobe for sellable items. It's CRAZY the things you find, seriously. Well. I don't think I really have anything super fantasmic to find from my own purchases, but my walk-in is a treasure trove. I never really put anything I wear in there coz it's all dark and freaky, but I FINALLY ventured into it today, and yeah. Well, it's probably all thanks to my mum. She's like a blazer factory. She has a kazillion of them. Funny too, because I've been casually looking for a cream blazer. Well, what do you know, there was one in my walk-in wardrobe. It has shoulder pads though, which I'm not particularly fond of, but...it doesn't look that bad at all. So yay!! It even still has a tag on it. =/ Crazy.
Also rediscovered these funky grandpa pants that my brother [of all people], found in an op shop. He bought them 1 or 2 years back for a 'box social' his friends had. They fit me as well. =D These might come in handy when me and Lauren decide to play dress up and wander around in our 'fashion blogger'-esque clothes. HAHHAHA. Yeah, we're kind of strange like that.
Anyway...So I have about 22 pieces of clothing to sell so far. that doesn't actually sound like much, but it's quite the hefty pile. I have stuff from Sportsgirl, Tsubi, Ladakh, American Apparrel, etc. in there. Really, REALLY depressing to get rid of to be honest. Ah well. Hopefully they'll bring in lots of monies to console me. =[
Also selling some shoes as well, although I'm pretty sure they won't fetch much. I'm not willing to let go of my heels, even if I can't walk in them. Yeah I know, I have detachment issues. But I am determined to one day walk in those heels and not feel like I'm going to tumble over and die.
Sigh. When my room cools down I'll have to go and take photos of everything and measure all the stuff. URGHHHH. I don't think anywhere in my house has enough light to get nice photos though. Fork. I wish I could steal a mannequin. Clothes always looks better when it's actually on something. =/ Hm...I'll figure it out.
In any case, It should all come together in the next couple of days. Yay!

I went in for a group job interview today. It was just on monday that I was telling Roger I wasn't going to get a call back. Then on Tuesday, I get the call, and I almost nearly crap myself from shock. So anyway, I go in today, and I was unsuccessful. lol. Honestly, I didn't think I would get the job anyway, so I'm not really disappointed about not getting the job. I am however, quite disappointed at myself for having such a massive brain fart. lol. We had to do this mock role play thing where we call up an existing supporter for a charity and ask them to increase their current donation. We even get given the script to read off. lol. So I go in there and my brain had a massive meltdown, and I DIDN'T READ THE SCRIPT! So, you know, epic fail there. lmao.
But yeah, realisticly, maybe it was the best way to get rejected from the job. Because in my head, I truly believe I could've done better. But in another sense, I just can't believe that in all the times I decide not to read off a sheet of paper with all the info right there for me, it was when it counted. LOL. I think that eats at me a little bit. It's so sad as well, because I think I would truly be unhappy if I DID get the job. =/ But I just can't believe how whacked out my brain went. All I can say though, is that this is a good learning experience. Although, it does make me worry about becoming a teacher. Once again. But don't worry, I'm just transferring my doubt into another area which I'm unsure about, which I do a lot when I feel like I let myself down.
But you know what. This was the best case scenario. I still have my freedom, and I don't have to stress out every time I reach for the phone to call someone. =P Next time, I think I'll go for something I actually enjoy. I think that'd inspire me to do better. =]
Sigh, I'm glad I got that off my chest.
Anyway, I have to make money some way, so FINALLY, I am vowing to myself that by friday night, I will have cleaned out my closet and listed all the decent items on eBay, and the items that I no longer wear that I don't think will sell, will go to charity. If you guys want something from the 'I don't think I'll sell it on eBay pile', I'll give it to you for free. Okalies?

Okay. I know. I'm a horrible blogger. =P
I got my Christmas present from my parents today! Yeah, I know, a bit early, but I wasn't really sure of getting one of these until today. And, I happened to pay for half of it. But still. I told my parentals it could be my christmas present so they wouldn't have to get me something else as well.
You're probably wondering what it is, hm? It's a treadmill. LOL. Yeah, I know, best present ever isn't it? =P We have an elliptical already, but my brother mostly uses it, and everytime I go on it, it makes me never want to exercise again. So much for endorphins. I'm pretty fond of dear treaddy though. I'm thinking it's going to be hard for me to be lazy if all I have to do is hop on this contraption and walk.
Hm..the guy working at Rebel Sport [which is where we bought it] was so nice. First we went there and he was helping us out and he told us our car wouldn't be big enough, so we said we'd get a diff car and come back. So we got my uncle's which has the stuff on top of his car that he can secure stuff to. I can't remember for the life of me what it's called, but yeah. So we came back, and...we couldn't find the dude. -_- So we were like 'ah...well...maybe his shift ended' so we just got some other chick to help us. As soon as we're in the line, he comes in and was all 'awww' and we were like 'D='. We really wanted him to get the sale. LOL. I suppose it helps being really helpful and nice to customers and stuff. Even after we paid and all, he came out to help us secure the box to the car. What a nice boy. He's 20 as well, ladies. *wink wink* hahah. =P
Yesterday I went shopping as well. I ended up buying 2 skirts and a dress from that '@topshop' place where everything is 10 bucks. I'm absolutely in love with my dress. It was the only one left and it's such a good day dress. I'll show you a pic some time. =]
Hm...if I'm still lazy and don't blog 'til after Christmas, Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a lovely day and get lots of funky presents. =]

I went to the doc today and had the quickest check up of my life. Anywho, I now have a doctor's certificate covering me for not missing out on my lecture + tute today. Also, I won't be requesting an extension since I should be fine in a couple days anyway, then I can power through my portfolio and case study and hope to jebus it's of passing quality.
I called up my high school's social science head teacher today too. On his mobile. I think he was a bit freaked out. He was all 'how did you get my mobile number?'. I told him it's because he called me on it before. -__- which is true. He must think I'm some stalker or something. [Although, I guess I am, just more of the virtual kind, and not so much of teachers...]. But yes, I'm coming in to do observations on Thursday, which is the day before it's due. Wooo. Thursday night sure should be interesting. lol. Hardcore assessmenting.
Anywho. In general I'm feeling a bit better. My throat doesn't hurt as much. I'm just on to the slight coughing and nose blockages. Being out of the house before totally sucked though. I was all fatigued and headachey, but now that I'm sitting on my bed I feel pretty decent. Maybe I'm allergic to the outside. Bahahha.
Okay, now I'm going to finish up my research project and hope my partner sends me her section soon.

Yesterday was fricken epic. I was feeling like crap and I was msg-ing roger with updates like..every hour or so. It was ridiculous. But it just makes me really appreciate having him in my life and just having someone I can depend on when I really need it. He's been heaps supportive, and worried, and I seriously owe him so much. I probably wasted a kazillion bucks of his credit too. But he's amazing, and I couldn't possibly ever ask for anything more from a friend, and a boyfriend. Seriously, the way he cares about me, it's worth getting sick! Garh. I just love him, very, very, much. And I would totally kidnap him and elope to Vegas if I could. =D

I only need to write another 400 words or so in this research project of terror. I'm quite sure I know what I intend to write as well..ish. But yeah..I'm just all 'ergh' at the moment.
To add to my throat pains, I now have a blocked nose and headache. weeeee.
I just feel so tired. Honestly, all I want to do right now is lie in bed and sleep. You know what's stupid though, it's so effing hard to sleep when you're sick! What with the blocked noses and feeling like you're going to vomit in bed. yeah. sexy.
Grrrr.
I wish writing up an assessment was as easy as blogging. I'd be set by now (Duong, 2009, p.1). Ha. I just thought I'd reference myself to get in the assessmenting mood.
Oh, and I'm going to try and get an extension for my Friday assessments...I'm heading to the doctor tomorrow to get me a certificate. Sigh..I've never applied for an extension before, I feel really bad about doing it too, I guess you can't help it if you're sick though, right? =[ But I'm gunna try to finish my assessment by the due date still. I wouldn't wanna extend my misery, and it'll lesson my guilt too.
Okay, that's it. This blog is really turning into an 'update on duong's medical condition' blog. -_- as well as rant central for my assessments. I'm such a pain in the ass. lol

This is just a super quick post. I'm planning on continuing my geoscience essay in 6 minutes. =P
This week I have this essay due, I'm busy and won't really be home much on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and next week I have a research project due on Tuesday, along with the presentation for it, and on Friday I have my portfolio and case study due which is worth 60% of that unit of study. Oh. And I also have to call up my high school and hope to GOD that they let me do observations that week. YOU BETTER NOT SCREW ME OVER MR. KHOURY!!!! T_T
I just wanted to let you know what was going on because I've been missing for two days. Which would've been weird considering I was blogging everyday. lol.
Anywho, essay time. Once I'm ready to procrastinate again I'll show you a picture of the hat I bought on eBay. Fun times. =D

It's that time of semester when people stop doing their readings and stop coming to lectures.
I am feeling lazy BEYOND BELIEF! and my sleeping patterns are effed to the maximus. I was having a nice little nap after coming home from animania today, and then my bro comes home and makes me drive him to his friend's house. sigh.
It's been a year since I've signed up to ebay. Happy one year! HAHA. Now I know how lots of guys feel when they have to pay for their girlfs all the time. Why does this have to be such an expensive relationship eBay?! WHY?!
Speaking of milestones and such, my 20th birthday is on Wednesday. I'm pretty excited actually. Being older = being closer to everything I want in my life. For instance, getting out of uni. =P But yeah, I'm also looking forward to my party. ish. Parties where I have to be the focus is...not ideal. lol. but i dunno, hopefully it'll be fine. The morning of my party is when my high school's garden fair is on, so I think I'll be visiting there with Sarah in order to track down teachers and do my observations. =]
Hm..I took a few pictures today at Animania. Here's one which was pretty much the focus of the day.
If you're not at animania to see cosplayers....I don't know what you're there for! It was an okay day, I think Supernova was a lot better, but yeaah, it was alright. =] I have other photos to put up, especially the ones of Tan wearing this hilarious brown cap thing with ears. it's so cute, but it's hilarious. XD
Did I mention that I need to lose weight? Urgh. All this angsty stuff is so annoying, but it's on my mind, and I guess my virtual mind is here, so yes...Why couldn't I have an awesome metabolism?! Well actually I think I make it worse by having ridiculous sleeping hours....sleeping at 6am generally means starving for hours. so..I guess first step is fixing my damn sleeeep pattern. =[
Maybe you should all pitch in and get me lyposuction for my b'day. =P I would love you forever. lmao. A boob job probably wouldn't go astray either. kthxbye. =D
Anywho....that's all for now. Watching Saturday night movies on tele is love.

I haven't blogged in lightyears!
I've been tremendously busy with uni though. As of the end of week 3, I am amazingly still keeping up with the work. chyeah!
As part of my uni course I was placed at maquarie fields hs to do an observation day last thursday. It was pretty effing good. I think I'm quite fond of that school now. lol. I wouldn't mind going back there one day. We got to sit in on three lessons. None of the ones I got were completely selective classes. But, I got 1 year 11 class [which was AMAZING, the teacher is awesome, and is really passionate about the whole teaching thing, it was really nice to experience], the 'dumb' year 9 english class [which was pretty interesting too, apparently they were more misbehaved than usual because we were there, lmao], and a combined year 12 class that was doing revision for the trials. When we weren't observing we were pretty much just chatting to the teachers there, being shown around and getting to know how things work and how things are gunna be when we become teachers. I dunno. It kind of made me want to be a teacher. =]
On a different note, one of the things I've been attracted to lately: Wheels and Dollbaby. Their clothes are very...pin up girl. But there are a few pieces of theirs that I absolutely adore. They're a Sydney based company too, and unfortunately, very expensive. However, that's the beauty of eBay, right? I'll compile a lovely collage of some of their items that I love at the moment. One of the W&D items I'm watching on eBay atm ends in..10 minutes. So I'll let you know how that goes at the end of my post. hahah. This is what it looks like:
The white bit actually looks a bit more creamy in the dress being sold though. But yeah, I really like it. =]
Also, I quite like bustiers at the moment too. Um..the ones that look like clothes though. not actual lingerie. I'll show you a few examples if I come across some that I like. The ones on eBay atm aren't too flash. Sportsgirl had a realllyyyy nice one a month or so back, but it was around 90 bucks...so no. lol. I've also come to finally understand the leotard thing. They're good layering pieces! And you don't have to worry about pulling down your top or whatever. But...they still don't float my boat, and the impracticalities still irk me. [seriously, bathroom anyone?!]
and omg. I lost the dress. Ah...what can you do eh? It ended up going for 150 buckeroonies though. I guess some people just wanted it more. =P
Anywho, enough for now. I'll try to get back into the swing of things. =]

I've been a bit off with the blogging thing lately. lol. I think one of these days I'm just going to have a massive photo post to document outings and such..
Anywho. First week of uni was okay. But that's because half of my tutorials haven't started yet. lol. I have a ridiculous amount of presentations to do this semester, so that's kind of daunting. Well, a lot daunting. I dunno why I'm becoming a teacher. I really, really don't. When I was walking to one of my education rooms, I saw a bird trapped inside in the building. It was like, just standing at the door and flapping at it. AND I DIDN'T EVEN HELP IT! like omg, what's wrong with me? Then I was just thinking 'wow, it's like symbolic of how trapped I feel at uni. AND I'M NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT!'. arghhhhhhhhhh. Okay, I have issues. I think we've all established that. hahahah.
Im doing something about my life though. Working towards my goals and such. I bought myself a graphics tablet. I'll probably receive it on monday. =] I'm pretty excited, and determined. Wooooo. =]
Okay, that's about all I wanna say for now. Vonny's party tomorow. It should be awesome! =D

In about half an hour I'm going to clean out my closet.
Then I'm going to sell a whole truck load of crap on eBay. Luckily for me, lots of stuff I buy still has tags on it. =/ I guess you can tell I'm an impulse buyer. I'm currently watching 21 things on eBay too. So I figure if I'm ever going to sell anything, then now is probably a good time to do it...
I'm so over writing emo blog entries. However, I have to admit, not having to talk to anyone or go out is making me feel pretty good. I'm hoping to scrape up okay so that I can have a few last ditch attempts at partying through the night before uni starts again. lol. I don't really think I'm cut out for the hardcore partying life. I need recovery time. I think I got so effed up because I was barely home in the first week of holidays. Then after that all I had was a one day recovery before popping out again. There's lots of stuff I haven't documented in my blog because I was having emo spazz attacks, but I'll hop back on the blogging wagon soon enough.

It's almost 12:30am.
I think I finally understand this exam question. Ah, the wonders of the internet. I don't know how people survived without it. [Probably healthily and more actively, but, you know what I mean.]
I need to understand 6 of these questions and write essays and memorise them for my exam on friday. I'm feeling oddly good about it. It's going to be a late night tonight..But I really want to get at least half of it done before daytime tomorrow.
Exciting right?
I've been buying a kazillion things on eBay lately. Just the more to show you in my next proper entry. Which should be saturday night. =D

So, because we live in a society where we're bombarded with messages saying if we work hard enough we can achieve anything, we've come to expect more, and because rarely anyone would be able to buy or achieve everything they wanted, our self esteem is sucking and we're unhappier. Which is so damn true!
And this is also why I'm going to try and be happy with everything I have.
Which is REALLY going to contradict what I'm about to say now. lmao.
I've been watching this mustard blazer on eBay since...about a month or two ago. [yeah, it's been awhile.] But I'm not sure if I should buy it. It's about 26 bucks including postage. Although I'm probably going to make an offer and see if I can't get it a lot cheaper. It's been sitting there on eBay for awhile so I'm hoping for the best. =D Have a look!
...I just like mustard for some reason. funnily enough though, not the food product. lol

Also, I have a dinner date with Roger tomorrow. YAY. We're usually doing more laid back stuff when we're out and about, so I tend to get a bit over excited when we do something fancy. =P And I always love the opportunity to dress up a bit. =D

Up and Away.
It's been ages since I've blogged, I've been out and about a lot and blogging about it all just kind of seemed intimidating to someone as lazy as I am. Funny how the more I have to talk about, the less I actually update. Lucky uni is starting soon then. More stress = more updates. Ha.
Actually, speaking of uni, my timetable looks like this:
I don't know if you can read that. But I have 14 contact hours and 2 of my units don't start until week 7. I'm a bit disappointed that it isn't friday that I have off, but Wednesday is better than nothing. =D Just means I get time mid week to work on assignments and all.
Hm....Chinese new year was pretty good by the way. I got $110 all up. Which I'm pretty happy about. 110 less dollars I need to withdraw from my bank when I'm in QLD =P I went to Chinese New Year celebrations in Bankstown and Cabramatta this year. Bankstown one was pretty cool. It was just lots of stalls, and people, and performances. Look!
The Cabra one I went to with Roger. It was a pretty hot day so amazingly enough, it was pretty dead. The stalls didn't really have any of their stuff out, and no one was really hanging around. =[ I would've gone to the CNY stuff at fairfield showground this year, but it's going to be on this weekend while I'm at QLD. =[ Mind you, I do prefer to be at QLD, so I'm not complaining. loll
CNY also fell on the same day as Valentine's day this year. I ended up making Roger cookies. 3 types of it as well!! We had spare M&Ms from some of the cookies, so my mum plonked some on the chocolate cookies. -_- loll. I tried to make a couple of heart shaped ones as well. Also take notice of the super evil face cookie on the left. lmao. [I took these with my phone so that's why it's all oddly coloured. lol, I'm always taking pics with my phone nowadays.. -_-] Once they had cooled down a bit I packed them in this container. The cookies spell out his name! =D A couple of years back I gave him one of those origami star shaped jars with pieces of paper inside with mushy messages and stuff, and this year he gave it back to me with his own messages in there. It was seriously the sweetest thing ever. *gush*
Also, something really strange happened a couple of days ago. My brother in law messaged me and said "I'm at someone's house right now and they say they know you and you go way back and they wanna talk to you. I would call, but my phone is low batt so call this number: [number here]". I thought it was a bit weird so I replied and asked who it was that supposedly knew me. He says "phone low batt, call the number quickly". So..after contemplating whether or not I should call it, I did. And guess who it turned out to be.
Taronga Zoo.
What. The. Fudge. Lucky it was just their machine thing saying their operating hours or else I would've really confused the poor person that picked up the phone. I tried calling my sister to ask what on earth was happening, but she didn't pick up, so I still have no idea what that whole thing was about. =/ loll. Very, very weird.
Hm..
I'm headed off to QLD tomorrow. I haven't packed yet. I need to try and find an appropriate bag to pack all my stuff in. Since it's just carry on baggage that I'm taking, I think I'll just take my biggish black handbag and my sling bag. I just need to check that they fit the measurements and all that jazz. I have my 'Things to Take' list, and anyone who has seen it probably thinks I'm a douche considering some of the things I'm taking along. loll. Like my hair straightener. lol. In any case, the trip is going to be awesomeee, we're visiting movieworld and sea world, and we're also going to head to tropfest [the short film festival], whilst also celebrating Roger's birthday and our 5 year anniversary. =]
I'll be back on the 23rd, so I'll probably put up photos and stuff then!
Btw, I'm on the hunt for good coats and coloured tights. My eBay watch list is packed with them, and as sad as it sounds, I'm probably going to end up bidding on some stuff using my phone while I'm away. LOL. Unless I manage to pick up some stuff on my trip. Hm...
Anywho, time to pack!

blaaaargh.
I got my boots in the mail today! Much earlier than expected as well. =D They look awesome. And, [you'll like this lauren], they're actually not over the knee. They're knee height. I knew that'd happen. -_- But regardless, I can't complain, because I still love them anyway. Woo! Now I just have to wait for a day that it isn't raining. .........Yeah. Considering the weather lately, that probably won't be for awhile. But oh well. I can wait. =D
Hm...
I have a lot of stuff going on in my life at the moment. I feel so busy, when in reality I'm pretty much just siting here, doing nothing. Ish. I think it's because I'm headed to QLD soon, and I have this other thing I'm working on with Roger, and there's all the friend stress stuff going. So it's all busy in my head. loll. I'm having the occasional sharp pain in my head too. I don't think that's healthy. lol.

Summer cleaning.
I'm sort of almost done with my closet clear out.
Ish.
Well, no. I haven't really been organising anything, I've just been scouring my wardrobe and walk-in wardrobe for sellable items. It's CRAZY the things you find, seriously. Well. I don't think I really have anything super fantasmic to find from my own purchases, but my walk-in is a treasure trove. I never really put anything I wear in there coz it's all dark and freaky, but I FINALLY ventured into it today, and yeah. Well, it's probably all thanks to my mum. She's like a blazer factory. She has a kazillion of them. Funny too, because I've been casually looking for a cream blazer. Well, what do you know, there was one in my walk-in wardrobe. It has shoulder pads though, which I'm not particularly fond of, but...it doesn't look that bad at all. So yay!! It even still has a tag on it. =/ Crazy.
Also rediscovered these funky grandpa pants that my brother [of all people], found in an op shop. He bought them 1 or 2 years back for a 'box social' his friends had. They fit me as well. =D These might come in handy when me and Lauren decide to play dress up and wander around in our 'fashion blogger'-esque clothes. HAHHAHA. Yeah, we're kind of strange like that.
Anyway...So I have about 22 pieces of clothing to sell so far. that doesn't actually sound like much, but it's quite the hefty pile. I have stuff from Sportsgirl, Tsubi, Ladakh, American Apparrel, etc. in there. Really, REALLY depressing to get rid of to be honest. Ah well. Hopefully they'll bring in lots of monies to console me. =[
Also selling some shoes as well, although I'm pretty sure they won't fetch much. I'm not willing to let go of my heels, even if I can't walk in them. Yeah I know, I have detachment issues. But I am determined to one day walk in those heels and not feel like I'm going to tumble over and die.
Sigh. When my room cools down I'll have to go and take photos of everything and measure all the stuff. URGHHHH. I don't think anywhere in my house has enough light to get nice photos though. Fork. I wish I could steal a mannequin. Clothes always looks better when it's actually on something. =/ Hm...I'll figure it out.
In any case, It should all come together in the next couple of days. Yay!

Reflection
I went in for a group job interview today. It was just on monday that I was telling Roger I wasn't going to get a call back. Then on Tuesday, I get the call, and I almost nearly crap myself from shock. So anyway, I go in today, and I was unsuccessful. lol. Honestly, I didn't think I would get the job anyway, so I'm not really disappointed about not getting the job. I am however, quite disappointed at myself for having such a massive brain fart. lol. We had to do this mock role play thing where we call up an existing supporter for a charity and ask them to increase their current donation. We even get given the script to read off. lol. So I go in there and my brain had a massive meltdown, and I DIDN'T READ THE SCRIPT! So, you know, epic fail there. lmao.
But yeah, realisticly, maybe it was the best way to get rejected from the job. Because in my head, I truly believe I could've done better. But in another sense, I just can't believe that in all the times I decide not to read off a sheet of paper with all the info right there for me, it was when it counted. LOL. I think that eats at me a little bit. It's so sad as well, because I think I would truly be unhappy if I DID get the job. =/ But I just can't believe how whacked out my brain went. All I can say though, is that this is a good learning experience. Although, it does make me worry about becoming a teacher. Once again. But don't worry, I'm just transferring my doubt into another area which I'm unsure about, which I do a lot when I feel like I let myself down.
But you know what. This was the best case scenario. I still have my freedom, and I don't have to stress out every time I reach for the phone to call someone. =P Next time, I think I'll go for something I actually enjoy. I think that'd inspire me to do better. =]
Sigh, I'm glad I got that off my chest.
Anyway, I have to make money some way, so FINALLY, I am vowing to myself that by friday night, I will have cleaned out my closet and listed all the decent items on eBay, and the items that I no longer wear that I don't think will sell, will go to charity. If you guys want something from the 'I don't think I'll sell it on eBay pile', I'll give it to you for free. Okalies?

Run Rabbit.
Okay. I know. I'm a horrible blogger. =P
I got my Christmas present from my parents today! Yeah, I know, a bit early, but I wasn't really sure of getting one of these until today. And, I happened to pay for half of it. But still. I told my parentals it could be my christmas present so they wouldn't have to get me something else as well.
You're probably wondering what it is, hm? It's a treadmill. LOL. Yeah, I know, best present ever isn't it? =P We have an elliptical already, but my brother mostly uses it, and everytime I go on it, it makes me never want to exercise again. So much for endorphins. I'm pretty fond of dear treaddy though. I'm thinking it's going to be hard for me to be lazy if all I have to do is hop on this contraption and walk.
Hm..the guy working at Rebel Sport [which is where we bought it] was so nice. First we went there and he was helping us out and he told us our car wouldn't be big enough, so we said we'd get a diff car and come back. So we got my uncle's which has the stuff on top of his car that he can secure stuff to. I can't remember for the life of me what it's called, but yeah. So we came back, and...we couldn't find the dude. -_- So we were like 'ah...well...maybe his shift ended' so we just got some other chick to help us. As soon as we're in the line, he comes in and was all 'awww' and we were like 'D='. We really wanted him to get the sale. LOL. I suppose it helps being really helpful and nice to customers and stuff. Even after we paid and all, he came out to help us secure the box to the car. What a nice boy. He's 20 as well, ladies. *wink wink* hahah. =P
Yesterday I went shopping as well. I ended up buying 2 skirts and a dress from that '@topshop' place where everything is 10 bucks. I'm absolutely in love with my dress. It was the only one left and it's such a good day dress. I'll show you a pic some time. =]
Hm...if I'm still lazy and don't blog 'til after Christmas, Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a lovely day and get lots of funky presents. =]

Relief
I went to the doc today and had the quickest check up of my life. Anywho, I now have a doctor's certificate covering me for not missing out on my lecture + tute today. Also, I won't be requesting an extension since I should be fine in a couple days anyway, then I can power through my portfolio and case study and hope to jebus it's of passing quality.
I called up my high school's social science head teacher today too. On his mobile. I think he was a bit freaked out. He was all 'how did you get my mobile number?'. I told him it's because he called me on it before. -__- which is true. He must think I'm some stalker or something. [Although, I guess I am, just more of the virtual kind, and not so much of teachers...]. But yes, I'm coming in to do observations on Thursday, which is the day before it's due. Wooo. Thursday night sure should be interesting. lol. Hardcore assessmenting.
Anywho. In general I'm feeling a bit better. My throat doesn't hurt as much. I'm just on to the slight coughing and nose blockages. Being out of the house before totally sucked though. I was all fatigued and headachey, but now that I'm sitting on my bed I feel pretty decent. Maybe I'm allergic to the outside. Bahahha.
Okay, now I'm going to finish up my research project and hope my partner sends me her section soon.

Yesterday was fricken epic. I was feeling like crap and I was msg-ing roger with updates like..every hour or so. It was ridiculous. But it just makes me really appreciate having him in my life and just having someone I can depend on when I really need it. He's been heaps supportive, and worried, and I seriously owe him so much. I probably wasted a kazillion bucks of his credit too. But he's amazing, and I couldn't possibly ever ask for anything more from a friend, and a boyfriend. Seriously, the way he cares about me, it's worth getting sick! Garh. I just love him, very, very, much. And I would totally kidnap him and elope to Vegas if I could. =D

Pain.
I only need to write another 400 words or so in this research project of terror. I'm quite sure I know what I intend to write as well..ish. But yeah..I'm just all 'ergh' at the moment.
To add to my throat pains, I now have a blocked nose and headache. weeeee.
I just feel so tired. Honestly, all I want to do right now is lie in bed and sleep. You know what's stupid though, it's so effing hard to sleep when you're sick! What with the blocked noses and feeling like you're going to vomit in bed. yeah. sexy.
Grrrr.
I wish writing up an assessment was as easy as blogging. I'd be set by now (Duong, 2009, p.1). Ha. I just thought I'd reference myself to get in the assessmenting mood.
Oh, and I'm going to try and get an extension for my Friday assessments...I'm heading to the doctor tomorrow to get me a certificate. Sigh..I've never applied for an extension before, I feel really bad about doing it too, I guess you can't help it if you're sick though, right? =[ But I'm gunna try to finish my assessment by the due date still. I wouldn't wanna extend my misery, and it'll lesson my guilt too.
Okay, that's it. This blog is really turning into an 'update on duong's medical condition' blog. -_- as well as rant central for my assessments. I'm such a pain in the ass. lol

speedy bo beanie
This is just a super quick post. I'm planning on continuing my geoscience essay in 6 minutes. =P
This week I have this essay due, I'm busy and won't really be home much on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and next week I have a research project due on Tuesday, along with the presentation for it, and on Friday I have my portfolio and case study due which is worth 60% of that unit of study. Oh. And I also have to call up my high school and hope to GOD that they let me do observations that week. YOU BETTER NOT SCREW ME OVER MR. KHOURY!!!! T_T
I just wanted to let you know what was going on because I've been missing for two days. Which would've been weird considering I was blogging everyday. lol.
Anywho, essay time. Once I'm ready to procrastinate again I'll show you a picture of the hat I bought on eBay. Fun times. =D

It's that time of semester when people stop doing their readings and stop coming to lectures.
I am feeling lazy BEYOND BELIEF! and my sleeping patterns are effed to the maximus. I was having a nice little nap after coming home from animania today, and then my bro comes home and makes me drive him to his friend's house. sigh.
It's been a year since I've signed up to ebay. Happy one year! HAHA. Now I know how lots of guys feel when they have to pay for their girlfs all the time. Why does this have to be such an expensive relationship eBay?! WHY?!
Speaking of milestones and such, my 20th birthday is on Wednesday. I'm pretty excited actually. Being older = being closer to everything I want in my life. For instance, getting out of uni. =P But yeah, I'm also looking forward to my party. ish. Parties where I have to be the focus is...not ideal. lol. but i dunno, hopefully it'll be fine. The morning of my party is when my high school's garden fair is on, so I think I'll be visiting there with Sarah in order to track down teachers and do my observations. =]
Hm..I took a few pictures today at Animania. Here's one which was pretty much the focus of the day.
If you're not at animania to see cosplayers....I don't know what you're there for! It was an okay day, I think Supernova was a lot better, but yeaah, it was alright. =] I have other photos to put up, especially the ones of Tan wearing this hilarious brown cap thing with ears. it's so cute, but it's hilarious. XD
Did I mention that I need to lose weight? Urgh. All this angsty stuff is so annoying, but it's on my mind, and I guess my virtual mind is here, so yes...Why couldn't I have an awesome metabolism?! Well actually I think I make it worse by having ridiculous sleeping hours....sleeping at 6am generally means starving for hours. so..I guess first step is fixing my damn sleeeep pattern. =[
Maybe you should all pitch in and get me lyposuction for my b'day. =P I would love you forever. lmao. A boob job probably wouldn't go astray either. kthxbye. =D

Wheels & D'oh! Baby
I haven't blogged in lightyears!
I've been tremendously busy with uni though. As of the end of week 3, I am amazingly still keeping up with the work. chyeah!
As part of my uni course I was placed at maquarie fields hs to do an observation day last thursday. It was pretty effing good. I think I'm quite fond of that school now. lol. I wouldn't mind going back there one day. We got to sit in on three lessons. None of the ones I got were completely selective classes. But, I got 1 year 11 class [which was AMAZING, the teacher is awesome, and is really passionate about the whole teaching thing, it was really nice to experience], the 'dumb' year 9 english class [which was pretty interesting too, apparently they were more misbehaved than usual because we were there, lmao], and a combined year 12 class that was doing revision for the trials. When we weren't observing we were pretty much just chatting to the teachers there, being shown around and getting to know how things work and how things are gunna be when we become teachers. I dunno. It kind of made me want to be a teacher. =]
On a different note, one of the things I've been attracted to lately: Wheels and Dollbaby. Their clothes are very...pin up girl. But there are a few pieces of theirs that I absolutely adore. They're a Sydney based company too, and unfortunately, very expensive. However, that's the beauty of eBay, right? I'll compile a lovely collage of some of their items that I love at the moment. One of the W&D items I'm watching on eBay atm ends in..10 minutes. So I'll let you know how that goes at the end of my post. hahah. This is what it looks like:
The white bit actually looks a bit more creamy in the dress being sold though. But yeah, I really like it. =]
Also, I quite like bustiers at the moment too. Um..the ones that look like clothes though. not actual lingerie. I'll show you a few examples if I come across some that I like. The ones on eBay atm aren't too flash. Sportsgirl had a realllyyyy nice one a month or so back, but it was around 90 bucks...so no. lol. I've also come to finally understand the leotard thing. They're good layering pieces! And you don't have to worry about pulling down your top or whatever. But...they still don't float my boat, and the impracticalities still irk me. [seriously, bathroom anyone?!]
and omg. I lost the dress. Ah...what can you do eh? It ended up going for 150 buckeroonies though. I guess some people just wanted it more. =P
Anywho, enough for now. I'll try to get back into the swing of things. =]

To infinity
I've been a bit off with the blogging thing lately. lol. I think one of these days I'm just going to have a massive photo post to document outings and such..
Anywho. First week of uni was okay. But that's because half of my tutorials haven't started yet. lol. I have a ridiculous amount of presentations to do this semester, so that's kind of daunting. Well, a lot daunting. I dunno why I'm becoming a teacher. I really, really don't. When I was walking to one of my education rooms, I saw a bird trapped inside in the building. It was like, just standing at the door and flapping at it. AND I DIDN'T EVEN HELP IT! like omg, what's wrong with me? Then I was just thinking 'wow, it's like symbolic of how trapped I feel at uni. AND I'M NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT!'. arghhhhhhhhhh. Okay, I have issues. I think we've all established that. hahahah.
Im doing something about my life though. Working towards my goals and such. I bought myself a graphics tablet. I'll probably receive it on monday. =] I'm pretty excited, and determined. Wooooo. =]
Okay, that's about all I wanna say for now. Vonny's party tomorow. It should be awesome! =D

Money Maker
In about half an hour I'm going to clean out my closet.
Then I'm going to sell a whole truck load of crap on eBay. Luckily for me, lots of stuff I buy still has tags on it. =/ I guess you can tell I'm an impulse buyer. I'm currently watching 21 things on eBay too. So I figure if I'm ever going to sell anything, then now is probably a good time to do it...
I'm so over writing emo blog entries. However, I have to admit, not having to talk to anyone or go out is making me feel pretty good. I'm hoping to scrape up okay so that I can have a few last ditch attempts at partying through the night before uni starts again. lol. I don't really think I'm cut out for the hardcore partying life. I need recovery time. I think I got so effed up because I was barely home in the first week of holidays. Then after that all I had was a one day recovery before popping out again. There's lots of stuff I haven't documented in my blog because I was having emo spazz attacks, but I'll hop back on the blogging wagon soon enough.

Update
It's almost 12:30am.
I think I finally understand this exam question. Ah, the wonders of the internet. I don't know how people survived without it. [Probably healthily and more actively, but, you know what I mean.]
I need to understand 6 of these questions and write essays and memorise them for my exam on friday. I'm feeling oddly good about it. It's going to be a late night tonight..But I really want to get at least half of it done before daytime tomorrow.
Exciting right?
I've been buying a kazillion things on eBay lately. Just the more to show you in my next proper entry. Which should be saturday night. =D
